About Business:

Sarv is the vision of Ramesh Chaudhary and Abhimanyu Sharma. This vision was built on the idea to bring the revolutionary change in creating the best customer experience with the help of the latest technologies. As you know it was incepted in 2011 as an email marketing tool. Yes, Sarv started its journey as an email marketing tool. At that time, core members were the sole manpower of the company.

From that, the company started growing with time and started adding other technology and services to its collection. In the past 9 years, we have grown from 5 to 70+ people and from 1 to a total of 13 services.

One unique power that our team has is that we never say no to challenges. Instead of changing the path due to some challenges we kept on walking no matter how challenging it gets. And this attitude of ours has brought us to this height.

Average Day:

To me, an average day as a Founder is no different than a normal employee. A normal employee wakes up, gets to the office, goes through his to-dos, works on it and completes his task and goes back home, to his family. Same goes with me, I woke up, went through my to-dos and worked on it.

While my team works on products, I love to connect with them by coordinating with them to share knowledge and information. With this shared crucial meeting where we exchange ideas and knowledge, we make our products and service stronger and better serving.

Not just with them, I also try to look up for new technologies that we can implement or integrate with our products to make them more effective and efficient.

Best Skill:

The skill of ‘Never Saying No’. Most of the best results of ours are driven from this. If we haven’t accepted the previous challenges then Sarv might still be an email marketing tool.

Challenges:

Speaking of challenges, our first enemy was common as of all the other bootstrapped startups and that was resources. In the starting days, it is the one that bothered for a long. As we started to add people who share the same vision as of ours, the problem with manpower was not an issue anymore but still, we lacked other resources. In our way to today, we faced these challenges:

Build an in-house product with Limited Resources & Funds

Limited technology options took longer than usual to build the product.

Marketing the product without a dedicated marketing team.

We were no brand, but accepting challenges helped us grab good projects.

Limited resources can somehow demoralize or demotivate your team, but we made sure to work harder to increase our clientele, and this was always a booster for our team

Effective Way to Get Clients: Find out the pain of your customer and offer the exact solution. So, we get our customer by understanding what they need and providing exactly the same solution. This flexibility is our source to get, retain & manage customers for long.

A full fledged skilled team for market R&D & our loyal customers' feedback helps to keep us informed about the market statistics & we keep upgrading our product from time to time.

Advice to Business Owners: You see we have such a huge population that there will never be a shortage of customers. But in order to get your work recognised your solution/service should never be a compromise, instead it should always be a "better than before" solution. Never be static, keep upgrading your solution/service matching to the present day market standards.

Motivation:

Our unity and belief in the vision of the organization kept us motivated in our difficult time. The way our team, our people stand together in everything that we do here is what helps us keep on going with our 100%.

Marketing, Funding and Team Building Strategy: As we were bootstrap funded, there was a cash crunch in the beginning. Marketing: We invested a little in SEO and used our own solutions/automations to reach the audience for marketing and generate leads Funded: Though we were approached but the founders never intended to be funded as the idea of the organization could probably dissolve Team Building: Everytime we hired someone, the basic requirements were to be skilled in the job with some experience. We have a big team now & very well follow us with our vision.

Inspiration:

The one thing that inspires me is the one thing I want to surpass and that is Google. What Google is right now is all built on the foundation of user data. My team and I also share this same vision towards the user data. We are so far from our inspiration currently but we know for sure that we are going to be there one day.

Business Philosophy:

 Communication Every business since birth uses communication. Understanding the information and communicating it to others is something which makes us different among the animal kingdom. This is the core belief of our founders. After the dot com boom, communication has changed its face drastically. Humans have invented a lot more means other than what Nature has given us. But unfortunately, communication between these communication mediums is something we have missed. 

Keeping self-dependency in the core, our founders decided to solve this problem. During their post graduation, they founded Sarv and decided to focus on one method of communication at a time. Sarv started with Email services.

To fulfil the thought of Unified Communication platform, Sarv also started its services in SMS, Voice, IVR, etc. This also helped customers to manage their requirements at one place instead of catering multiple vendors for each service. From the beginning, Sarv has developed its services completely in-house to make them viable with each other and to avoid any bottleneck situation. This helped us to deliver what is best suited for our customers. Though it was not easy, it helped us to get an extra degree of freedom while designing our services.

Once the communication part is done, Sarv started its research in analysing data and converting it into valuable information. It will help our customers to reach the right person and with increased ROI because India is a country of diversities. People have different choices and priorities. So, instead of broadcasting to everyone, communicating with targeted audiences is the right way of communication.
